Personalised Immunotherapy in Sepsis:
a precision medicine approach

Amsterdam UMC

— AMC —

Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, is one of the foremost research institutes in The Netherlands, as well as one of its largest hospitals. Over 7000 people work here to provide integrated patient care, education and conduct fundamental and clinical scientific research. The AMC houses the university hospital and the faculty of medicine of the University of Amsterdam. About 1500 members of staff are either fully or partially employed in medical research, which is regularly subjected to scrutiny by a panel of international scientists. This concentration of expertise makes the centre a breeding ground for successful scientific collaboration.

Role within ImmunoSep

The AMC will be one of the centres where the proof-of-concept clinical trial of personalised immunotherapy in sepsis will be performed. Also, we will take part in the development of the theranostics platform, which will be based on a multidimensional systems biology analysis of omics-based data sets, to identify clinically relevant biomarkers and therapeutic targets for future precision medicine in sepsis.
